Look at this color. Either dipped or an interesting spray?

Almost looks sand-blasted thought the lights and trim look ok.

Nope. Do not want.

The paint looked like it was a crappy single stage and no clear coat. almost as if the car was coated in sand!

Probably pretty durable!

They had the hot lava orange available for at least one year. This looks like someone took one of those and wet-sanded it.

Might be!

Looks like Plasti-dip Pearlizer over an orange color (above is over white)

It's like someone tried to sand out a scratch, went too far, tried to sand out another area to make it even and so on and so on. Like the Seinfeld chest shaving episode.

Looks like a duochrome paint job gone wrong. Here's one I found online. But I've also seen one in green/purple IRL.

That is full of EW! -_-

I believe it's a legit color. This paint just looks like it wasn't taken care of. Burnt copper was all the rage back in the early 00's!

You think that's bad, check out the blog post I got the photo from. The OP went around comparing paint jobs to nail polishes. I think you'll get a kick out of the black glittery one and the silver holographic one.

Curse you, now I really want this nail polish:

Hehe. I have about 100 different bottles, including a couple of yellows. Not that Essie one, but a similar Sally Hansen. I actually wouldn't mind the silver holo, but holos and duochromes are ridiculously pricey for nail polish.

Well at least we know he is getting help for his problems. Maybe agreeing to having this paint job while drunk lead to owner getting the help he needed.

I have a similar yellow too, but I'm an Essie junkie and now I NEED that one :P

I understand the need. ^_~

Probably a vinyl wrap. Not sure if this is an exact match, but I found it on ebay ...

Chameleon Plasti-Dip, albeit oddly applied.

That looks really strange.

Perhaps it is a stock color, and what appears to be several seasons worth of dust and dirt are distorting the light to give it a slightly pearlescent appearance. Gonna stop washing my car for a while and see if I can duplicate this awesome look.
